Natural Remedies for Pain, Stress, and Anger Management by Experts
Good Morning Pakistan is a popular ARY Digital morning show hosted by Nida Yasir, where experts, artists, and professionals come to share ideas and tips. The show’s episodes are divided among actors, health experts, and various other professionals to ensure diverse content. Today, Nida invited health and wellness experts Dr. Bilquees, Dr. Batool, and Dr. Sidra.
The guests of Good Morning Pakistan shared several natural remedies for managing common issues such as pain, anger, and stress. This segment provided the audience with holistic advice for maintaining a balanced life.
While talking about anger management at home, Dr. Batool said “Eat your stress — it’s a new trend, a new research-based approach. You have to differentiate between anger and stress. Anger remedies are even mentioned in Hadith like if you are standing, sit down; if you are sitting, stand up; or drink water. ‘Eat your stress’ means when you’re angry, your happy hormones go down, making you more irritable. So now anger is seen as a form of stress. Drink water and eat fruits like guava, apple, or banana after sprinkling some lemon juice or salt on them. This helps manage stress. For instance, If I shout at my son, I soon regret it after realizing it. That’s why it’s said: eat your stress — bananas immediately release melatonin and stimulate your hormones, making you feel happy.”
Dr. Bilquees shared a natural remedy for pain. She said, “Take a bitter gourd (Karela) , chop it, and use its liquid as a natural pain reliever. You can apply it anywhere on the body and feel instant relief. Try it on your wrist or any painful area and share your feedback — it helps reduce inflammation and pain.”
Dr. Batool also suggested a simple remedy for migraine, “Ice your Face. Take some ice and place it at the back of your ears, it will help reduce the migraine pain. It immediately relieves pain. Similarly, you can use ice for tooth pain. Avoid heavy painkillers and rely on ice for natural pain relief.”
She further recommended using a roller pin for pain relief, saying, “Roller pins are best for arthritis patients for targeted pain relief. Place your hands on it and roll — it stimulates blood circulation. Target the pressure points and use it wherever your body hurts.” Additionally, Dr. Bilquees advised using peppermint oil for headaches.
