The Icemag Cometh In The Shape Of A New Wireless Power Bank Equipped With Active Cooling

Published

on

Have you ever experienced that sinking feeling when the freshly charged battery in your smartphone drops faster than you can say ‘battery anxiety’? Well, you’re not alone. The halcyon days when a Nokia brick phone would last for a week on a single battery charge are over.

If you are always on the go and depend on your phone for almost everything you do, then you need a credible backup plan for keeping your phone charged. Enter the Sharge Icemag 3, a new 10,000mAh power bank for smartphone users who need to replenish their phone’s battery quickly.

Active Cooling Fan

This new power bank uses Active Cooling 3.0 technology, so the phone can be charged wirelessly on the go without overheating. Most phones will begin to slow down when they are being charged wirelessly at high speed because of thermal build-up.

The Icemag 3’s small fan on its rear quickly blows away any extra heat build-up, enabling the phone to charge quickly while remaining at a safe temperature, even when it’s being used a lot. The small fan isn’t very loud and, in most situations, you probably won’t be able to hear it and it operates whenever the power bank is working.

With the ability to charge a compatible phone wirelessly at 25W using the new Qi2 charging standard, the MagSafe-compatible Icemag 3 has a full-surface magnetic lock and provides smoother and steadier power flow. Sharge’s own lab tests show that the Icemag 3 can charge an iPhone 17 Pro to 50% capacity in just 30 minutes, which is up to 67% faster than regular non-Qi2 wireless magnetic power banks.

Two USB-C Ports

The Icemag 3 has a USB-C port and a built-in USB-C charging cable that doubles as a handy wrist strap. The power bank has a transparent casing and its slim design makes it easy to slip into a coat pocket.

When the Icemag 3 is attached to a MagSafe phone or case, its built-in kickstand can be used to keep the phone steady and set at the perfect angle for watching movies, scrolling through websites or holding a video call, all hands-free. It also has full-protocol support for fast charging and the two USB-C ports for charging up to three devices at the same time.

Pricing and Availability:

The Sharge Icemag 3 active-cool power bank is available now from Sharge.com and is priced at $68 / £50.75.
