Samsung Will Be The First to Bring This Clever Screen Hiding Feature
Smartphone users have had to rely on privacy screen protectors to hide their phone activity from onlookers in public and private spaces. This should change with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is now confirmed to bring this feature built into the smartphone for the first time ever.
Samsung has announced that it will soon introduce what it calls “a new layer of privacy” designed to protect users from shoulder surfing in public spaces.
In an official press release issued today, Samsung said the upcoming feature will allow users to check messages or enter passwords in places such as public transport without worrying about people nearby viewing their screens. The description closely matches long-rumored reports about a built-in privacy screen feature expected to debut on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Customizable, System-Level Privacy Controls
According to Samsung, the new privacy feature will be highly customizable. Users will be able to enable it for specific apps or limit its use to sensitive actions, such as entering passwords or accessing private sections of the phone.
Samsung also said users can protect only selected parts of the interface, including notification pop-ups, rather than applying the privacy effect across the entire display. The company described the system as a “tailored approach,” allowing users to fine-tune or disable the feature entirely when it is not needed.

Unlike traditional privacy screen protectors that rely on physical filters and limit viewing angles at all times, Samsung’s solution is built directly into the display, according to prior leaks. This approach allows the privacy effect to be applied selectively, instead of acting as a permanent on-or-off layer over the screen.
This means you should be able to maintain your phone’s regular viewing angles even with the privacy feature enabled, which is not possible with privacy screen protectors.
Samsung said the technology has been in development for more than five years, involving extensive engineering, testing, and refinement. While the company did not name specific devices in the announcement, the timing strongly suggests the feature will appear on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung said additional details will be shared closer to launch.

TPS Worldwide Recognized by Google for Enterprise-Grade AI Innovation from Pakistan
TPS Worldwide has been recognized by Google among the top 10 AI use cases in Pakistan as part of the first cohort of the Google AI Leaders Fellowship Program, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward enterprise-grade artificial intelligence innovation.
The selection places TPS among a limited group of organizations recognized for demonstrating meaningful, production-focused applications of AI. The shortlisting followed a highly selective evaluation process by the Google AI Leaders Fellowship team, which acknowledged the quality, rigor, and innovation demonstrated by TPS throughout the program. The fellowship highlights work that goes beyond experimentation and addresses complex operational challenges in real enterprise environment of regulated financial sector.
As part of the program, TPS presented its AI use case at ITCN Asia 2026 in Lahore, engaging an audience of industry leaders, technologists, and ecosystem partners. The recognition reflects growing confidence in TPS approach to AI, built on deep domain knowledge and engineered with reliability, security, and governance at its core.
“This recognition is a strong external validation for TPS,” said Asna Ishrat, who is leading the AI initiative in TPS. “Our approach to AI is grounded in real operational problems faced by enterprises at scale. We focus on building systems that improve outcomes across support, operations, and engineering functions, while maintaining trust, accountability, and control. Being selected by Google reinforces the discipline behind how this work is designed and delivered.”
The AI use case presented by TPS aligns with broader industry shifts, as enterprises across financial services and regulated sectors without proportionally increasing operational risk or cost. The emphasis is moving away from isolated automation toward intelligent systems that strengthen observability, resilience, and decision-making across critical functions.
In an AI landscape crowded with experimentation and hype, validation from a platform like Google provides an important signal for enterprises. It reinforces confidence that the work aligns with modern expectations around responsible AI, security, and production readiness, particularly for organizations operating at national and regional scale.
The milestone also reflects TPS people and engineering culture, where continuous learning, disciplined innovation, and cross-functional collaboration enable teams to take ideas from concept through to scalable deployment.
Building on this recognition, TPS plans to deepen its engagement with the AI ecosystem through further research, collaboration, and real-world deployments, translating innovation into measurable impact across its platforms and client environments.
2026 marks a year of innovation, agility and growth for TPS!

PTA Orders Full Cybersecurity Audit of Its Digital Systems
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has initiated the process to conduct a comprehensive cybersecurity audit and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) of its digital infrastructure.
PTA, which oversees critical regulatory platforms, communication systems, databases, and public service portals, said the move is aimed at further strengthening the security and resilience of its IT and communication ecosystem.
The authority stated that maintaining strict cybersecurity standards is essential to ensure uninterrupted and secure services. In response to the growing global trend of cyber-attacks, data breaches, and infiltration attempts, PTA has decided to hire a qualified and accredited cybersecurity firm to independently assess its systems and identify potential weaknesses.
According to the Expression of Interest (EOI) issued by PTA, the selected firm will conduct a detailed cybersecurity audit covering network infrastructure, applications, databases, cloud or hybrid environments, and internal security policies and procedures. The audit will focus on identifying technical and procedural vulnerabilities, evaluating how they could be exploited, and recommending both short-term and long-term corrective measures.
The scope of work also includes external and internal penetration testing based on internationally recognized standards. In addition, the firm will review security controls, access management practices, and incident response mechanisms.
PTA said it will carry out follow-up verification after identified vulnerabilities are addressed to confirm that issues have been resolved and to ensure sustained improvements in cyber resilience.
The authority emphasized strict confidentiality requirements, warning that any data breach or unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information will be treated as a serious violation. PTA added that only firms meeting the defined eligibility and compliance criteria will be shortlisted for the next stage of the procurement process.
