Infinix Note 60 Pro Launches With a Cool Second Screen and Self-Healing Battery
Infinix has introduced the Note 60 series, which stands out for several things: a Nothing-inspired secondary display on the back, a self-healing battery that can repair itself over the years to last longer, and a health-checking fingerprint sensor.
The lineup includes the Infinix Note 60 and the Infinix Note 60 Pro, with the Pro marking the company’s first Snapdragon-powered phone since 2019.
Design and Display
Both the Infinix Note 60 Pro and Infinix Note 60 feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,436 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panels reach up to 4,500 nits peak brightness and use PWM dimming. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front.
The Pro model adds an Active Matrix Display on the rear camera island. This dot-style display shows notifications and supports personalization features such as scrolling emojis and Pixel Pets. It also supports mini games, including Dot Dash and Star Blast. The standard model instead features the Active Halo RGB LED light on the back.
Both phones include dual JBL speakers positioned at the top and bottom. The chassis uses a high-strength aluminum alloy frame with contoured edges for grip. Each device carries an IP64 rating for rain resistance and includes an IR blaster. The Pro model also offers drop resistance and, in the Torino Black version, a design created by Pininfarina.
Unique Fingerprint Sensor
The side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Pro doubles as a health monitor, measuring heart rate, heart rate variation, and blood oxygen levels via the My Health App. The Pro also includes a One-Tap Button for toggling modes and launching apps such as the flashlight or SnapMemo.
The Infinix Note 60 comes in five color options: Mist Titanium, Midnight Black, Fizz Blue, Rose Gold, and Mocha Brown. While the Pro Model comes in Mist Titanium, Deep Ocean Blue, Solar Orange, Mocha Brown, Torino Black, and Frost Silver.
Internals and Software
The Note 60 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm process and is available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The standard Note 60 uses the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Both models incorporate a 3D IceCore vapor chamber for cooling. On the Pro, the vapor chamber measures 4,758mm² and works alongside a 0.36mm copper sheet to reduce temperatures by up to 3°C during intensive gaming.
The two phones launch with Android 16 and XOS 16. Infinix confirms three operating system upgrades and five years of security updates, extending support up to XOS 19.
Cameras
Both models feature a 50MP main camera with 0.8µm pixels, an f/1.59 lens, and optical image stabilization. The camera supports 2x zoom and 4-in-1 pixel binning to 12.5MP resolution.
An 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture is also included, along with a flicker sensor. The main camera records 4K video at 30fps.
Battery and Pricing
Battery capacity varies by region. The Note 60 Pro carries a 6,500 mAh battery in most markets and a 6,000 mAh version in others. The standard Note 60 offers either 6,500 mAh or 6,150 mAh, depending on the region.
The Pro model introduces Battery Self Healing Technology, which uses low current to repair microcracks and is claimed to restore 1 percent battery health every 200 charge cycles. Infinix states that this allows the battery to maintain usability for at least six years under normal use.
The Note 60 Pro supports 90W wired charging. It also supports 30W wireless charging. The standard Note 60 supports 45W wired charging and retains 30W wireless charging. Pricing details were not specified at launch.

Apple Set to Manufacture iPhones in Pakistan: Report
Apple is planning to start iPhone manufacturing in Pakistan under a new government-backed Mobile and Electronics Manufacturing Framework, in a move aimed at positioning the country as a regional export hub, reported Express Tribune.
The government has agreed to offer incentives, including an 8 percent performance incentive and provision of land at discounted rates, to attract the tech giant, said the report.
In addition to manufacturing, Apple has also agreed to refurbish used iPhones in Pakistan for re-export, with the government expecting $100 million in export proceeds in the first year.
The plan is part of a broader strategy to bring global technology companies into Pakistan by offering competitive incentives and building local manufacturing capacity.
Officials said Apple intends to initially focus on repairing two to three-year-old iPhones, a model it has previously implemented in countries such as India, Malaysia, and Indonesia, before moving into full-scale manufacturing.
The new framework proposes increasing performance incentives from the current 6 percent to 8 percent to attract investment from Apple and other international manufacturers.
Authorities said the policy has received support from senior government leadership and is expected to be approved soon. The government is also targeting wider investment in the electronics sector, including laptops, tablets, wearables, and accessories, as part of its long-term industrial strategy.
Chinese companies are expected to invest around $557 million in mobile manufacturing, following agreements signed during the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Beijing.
As part of the localization push, manufacturers have committed to increasing the use of locally produced components from the current 12 percent to 35 percent in the first year, with a longer-term target of 50 percent.
The policy also proposes an export levy of up to 6 percent on high-end mobile phones to fund technology development, with an expected collection of Rs. 62 billion. Lower-priced phones in the Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 60,000 range will remain exempt.
Separately, the government is expanding its electric vehicle policy. A subsidy of 40 percent has already been introduced for electric two-wheelers, backed by Rs. 9 billion in funding.
The report said the scope may now be extended to electric four-wheelers, with plans underway to introduce low-cost vehicles priced between Rs. 0.7 million and Rs. 0.8 million.
