I called such people ‘Shar Pasand’—mischievous individuals who spread things on social media. I am still being asked by women whether I was this obedient to my mother in law. And about the brides’ shopping, I just wanted to say that I don’t like it when mothers-in-law only give money for dresses. I find it cold behavior, it has no emotions in it. As a mother-in-law, I would prefer to buy clothes for my daughters-in-law because I have wishes for them. That doesn’t mean I won’t take them along. I took my daughters with me; they chose their clothes, and I paid for them. My point is that girls today are very fashionable and wear classy dresses, but there are certain values attached to the family they are entering. There is no harm if a mother-in-law shops for them. After one or two months, those clothes will become old, and they can buy whatever they like.”
