Areeba Habib’s Namaz with LED Mask Gets Public Disapproval
Ramzan Mubarak is a holy month for the Muslim Ummah across the world, but in Pakistan the media and celebrities have shifted the focus from spirituality to entertainment. Hosts in Ramzan transmissions strive for ratings, while celebrities remain busy posting pictures and videos of Ibadat, Sehri, Iftars, and sports nights. This time, model and actor Areeba Habib has also joined the trend of making headlines during Ramzan ul Mubarak.
Areeba Habib posted a picture of herself while offering prayers on a prayer mat. She wore a white hijab beautifully, but what surprised fans was the LED skincare face mask that she had put on her face while offering her prayer. She captioned the picture, “Priorities are set. Thanks, Allah, for this.” Here is the picture:
Areeba Habib’s Namaz in an LED face mask ignited severe public backlash. Many are calling her out for performing worldly tasks along with religious duties. One wrote, “God forbid, it seems that a member of the Illuminati is praying.” Another wrote that she tried to be cool but ended up getting trolled. One commented, “Poor me, I came to know through this picture that it’s a modern-day skincare thing.” Another wrote, “She brings worldly chores into her worship, what hypocrisy.” Another user commented, “Why do you post such things to show that you are liberal? Why make fun of everything? Would you make such a mistake during a job interview?” Read the comments:

Watch the video:
Social media users have advised Nadia Khan to visit a dermatologist, noting that the wrinkles near her eyes make her look older. One wrote, “It’s your time to visit Shaista Lodhi.” Another commented, “Her under-eye concealer is badly applied. She is looking older; she was not like that before.” Someone else said, “I am surprised she hasn’t had any plastic procedures.” Another added, “So she didn’t have any procedures?” While some social media users criticized her appearance, others defended Nadia, saying, “I don’t know why people have a problem with seeing natural faces aging gracefully. I used to act at the open-air theatre. I was young and playing the hero when I said something to him. He responded with a jibe, saying, ‘Go, bro, why are you being so arrogant as if you are the Sehgal family’s son-in-law?’ And it really happened in real life. I had graduated and was free when a friend said to me, ‘Let me get you a job, and let’s have ice cream.’ He introduced me to Mr. Zahid Hamid, who was a politician. He said, ‘Why are you doing this salesman job? How would you deliver ice cream on a motorbike? You are educated and come from a good family; a salesman’s job isn’t suitable for you.’ Then he gave me a job as a manager at a newly opened ice cream parlor. My wife used to come there and say, ‘I don’t come here for ice cream but for the manager.’ Her friends also used to visit to see me because I had acted in the drama Sdmadar, which was a hit. They would even prank call me, and my wife would urge them to express their liking for me. Her friends refused to talk, so she met me directly, and after that, I didn’t let her go.”
