Hina Afridi Defends Nikah Demands & Shares Pakhtoon Wedding Tradition

Hina Afridi is a celebrated Pakistani model and television actor who rose to fame through her hit dramas Pehli Si Mohabbat, Akhara, Kacha Dhaaga, Raaja Rani, and others. She is currently receiving praise for her performance in Green Entertainment’s hit drama series Ghulam Bashah Sundri. Hina Afridi got married to Taimoor Akbar on January 16th; her wedding trended on social media for her viral wedding events like Nikah and dholkis.

Recently, Hina Afridi appeared on Hasna Mana Hai, where she talked about her demands from her husband before Nikah and her wedding trolling. She also shared a Pakhtoon wedding tradition with fans.

Talking about trolling on Nikah, Hina Afridi said, “I actually didn’t pay heed to those who trolled my jewelry on my Nikah. That’s their problem, not mine. Also, I had no time to read trolling, and about Nikah demands, I would say it’s girls’ right to ask whatever they want from their husband. It’s their right, and people don’t know what else I demanded from him privately and he fulfilled all, so every girl should be aware of her rights and should not agree to anything lesser in life.”

She also shared a traditional Pakhtoon wedding custom with fans, saying, “There is this tradition in Pakhtoon tribes which was told to us by our relatives that when Barat arrives, the girl’s family opens fire at the groom’s feet, and if he gets scared and runs away, they cancel the marriage. Faisal Rehman is a senior superstar who started his career in films when he was just 14 years old. He went on to star in hundreds of films and later successfully transitioned to television. The actor has since been appearing in dramas and he is always seen in very unique characters. He was a guest on Shan e Suhoor and spoke about his career choices at this stage.

Faisal Rehman has been appearing in more senior roles but he is not usually seen playing the generic hero or heroine’s dad. He shared what is his issue with playing the hero’s father and his point makes complete sense to the audience who wants to see more of him on TV.

Faisal Rehman said he has no issue with playing a hero’s father but the role needs to meaty. The father needs to have a proper place in the script and he needs to do at least something on the show. He does not understand when he gets offered characters which are fillers and have nothing to do in the story.

He revealed that his wife died around 27-28 years ago when his daughter was just a child. He then focused his energies on raising her and never got married again. She now lives in Sweden after marriage and she is a doctor. He shared that his mother and sisters helped him in raising his daughter. Now, his daughter wants him to marry again so he does not remain alone.
