Aijaz Aslam & Faysal Quraishi on Atiqa & Fahad’s Fight
Fahad Mustafa and Atiqa Odho are two renowned Pakistani celebrities who made headlines this Ramzan when Atiqa Odho called out Fahad Mustafa on Tabish Hashmi’s show, saying that he should only work with actresses his age. After that, Fahad Mustafa responded on Jeeto Pakistan, saying, “I am ready to work with you, but only after you get two to three surgeries.” This fight was widely discussed among Pakistani celebrities and social media users, and recently Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam also discussed it during a Ramzan transmission.
Aijaz Aslam was a guest at Faysal Quraishi’s Ramadan transmission Bahar-e-Ramadan, where he opened up about the issue.
Talking about it, Aijaz Aslam said, “Our problem is that we have no issues with Bollywood and Hollywood biggies appearing with young women, but it becomes a problem when our actors appear with younger actresses. On the screen, it’s only screen presence that matters, and male actors have a longer screen age.” Watch here:
He further added, “I think this should not have even started. It was distasteful. Such questions should not be asked by hosts because when they are asked, guests get trapped in the question for a moment. I think it should not have started. Atiqa Odho should not have said that he should come with actresses of a certain age. Although it is diffused now, people discussed it and it became a mess.” Click here to watch:
Faysal Quraishi said, “I think an actor’s screen age is what he really looks like. If actors are convincing in certain roles, they should not be age-shamed. I have worked with both older and younger women, and people loved it. In Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Hania and Fahad looked good. It’s okay if Fahad works with Mehwish, Mahira, and Hania, it all depends on the types of characters and actor is playing. I think Fahad also said harsh words; he should have composed himself, but it’s okay if he has apologized.”

Ramzan Mubarak is a holy month for the Muslim Ummah across the world, but in Pakistan the media and celebrities have shifted the focus from spirituality to entertainment. Hosts in Ramzan transmissions strive for ratings, while celebrities remain busy posting pictures and videos of Ibadat, Sehri, Iftars, and sports nights.
