Responding to Rabia Mughn’s question, “Have girls today become materialistic?” Areeka Haq said, “Yes, girls today have become materialistic. However, I believe girls should only be materialistic or demand a well-settled man if they themselves are stable, independent, or settled. They can’t randomly demand that a man should earn a certain amount while they just sit at home doing nothing—watching Netflix all day. My question to them is, ‘What effort have you put into your own career?’ If you are worthy of something, then you can demand anything from your spouse. It’s also okay to build a career together. It’s not an issue if a man earns less, and education is not confined to just having a degree.” Here is what she said in her latest interview:

Talking about it, Asma Abbas said, “Stars like Zara, Ayeza, and Iqra — whatever they wear has a direct impact on people’s choices. Their clothing and endorsements immediately influence girls. For example, Sajal Aly initially wore one of my dresses, and it sold out instantly. I had the design, but the specific print was unavailable, which became a problem because everyone was ordering it. It made my life very difficult. I asked them to make it in a different print, but they refused, saying they only wanted the one Sajal wore — probably thinking they would look like her. I also made another mistake in the beginning by making different pairings, but people always ordered the exact one I wore. I then realized that people want only what they saw on actresses, like the Sajal Aly’s one, it was a beautiful koti, shalwar, and kurta. I made 60 pieces, and they were all sold out because girls love copying actresses.” Here is the link to the video:
