Faysal Quraishi is a versatile and acclaimed Pakistani actor, known for his powerful performances in hit dramas such as Boota from Toba Tek Singh, Meri Zaat Zarra eBenishan, Haiwan, Qaid e Tanhai, Bashar Momin, Muqaddar, Hook, Farq and Fitoor. He is currently being praised for his intense and unsettling portrayal of Kamran, a rapist, in the hit Geo TV drama serial Case No. 9, where his chilling performance has sparked strong reactions and showcased his exceptional range as an actor.
Recently, Faysal Quraishi gave a short interview to a press talk in an event, held in Houston, Texas, USA. In the chat session, he revealed the reason behind his recent weight loss, which has concerned his fans.
Talking about it, Faysal Quraishi said, “I feel lucky in many ways. It has always been a blessing upon me that I get to play the challenging characters, or I am given the roles which I crave to do as an actor. I always seek for different work and keep finding unique scripts. It’s been eight months since Case No. 9 has been wrapped and I have only been reading scripts and returning them because they are typical characters. Lately, I have finalized one script after months and I am currently working on it. The weight loss is due to that character—I am not sick; it’s for the show.
