Fosi Audio will be at CanJam Dubai 2026 to unveil its new MD3 magnetic portable DAC/headphone amplifier. The MD3 is a compact headphone DAC for audiophile-quality sound in an ultra-portable format.

Designed for listeners seeking value, performance and usability, the new MD3 brings together a premium internal architecture with easy hands-on controls for audiophile-quality sound on the move.

The MD3 is driven by an ESS ES9039Q2M DAC that’s been paired with four ES9603Q headphone amplifiers. The true-balanced circuit design has been tuned to balance musicality with high-resolution detail. An aluminum shielding plate reduces magnetic and electrical interference to create a cleaner signal path.

Light And Powerful

Despite its power, MD3 weighs just 50g and is housed in a CNC-machined aluminum chassis that has a MagSafe-style back plate for secure attachment to MagSafe-compatible smartphones and cases.

The MD3 includes a 1.28-inch LCD that rotates and provides on-device controls. Other features include dual USB-C ports so users can listen to their music with headphones while charging their phone. Images can be uploaded to the display for a personal look and there’s a100-step digital volume control and volume memory.

Also appearing at CanJam Dubai is Fosi’s DS3 portable DAC and headphone amplifier The DS3 is the world’s first XMOS-powered DAC/amp and has a battery-free dongle design. It was co-developed by Fosi Audio and XMOS, based on a next-generation 16-core XMOS processor running at 1.6GHz.

Low Power Consumption

The DS3 consumes very little power and has high-precision clock management and advanced hardware audio processing. Powered by the ESS ES9039Q2M DAC, the DS3 can play PCM files up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512 and has up to 220mW of output for driving a wide range of headphones.

Designed with both audiophiles and gamers in mind, the DS3 has hardware-level 7.1 spatial audio processing that works without drivers or PC software, offering true plug-and-play across platforms.

A dedicated Game Mode supports UAC 1.0 compatibility for direct connection to consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Selectable sound modes include Original, FPS and Spatial Audio so users can tailor their listening experience.

The DS3’s FPS sound engine can enhance positional cues in a game, like footsteps and gunfire, while future firmware updates will bring web-based PEQ control with hardware-level 32-band EQ, all without degrading the audio signal.

More Fosi On Show

In addition to these new products, Fosi Audio will also be showing off a selection of its popular and recently launched products, including the IM4 in-ear monitors, i5 planar-magnetic headphones, ZH3 balanced DAC / headphone amplifier/preamplifier and K7 hi-fi gaming DAC and headphone amplifier.

“CanJam Dubai is an important platform for connecting with the global headphone and personal audio community,” says Ryan Huang, founder and CEO of Fosi Audio. “We’re excited to bring both our newest innovations and our established favorites to Dubai, and to let attendees experience firsthand how Fosi Audio continues to push performance, versatility, and value.”

CanJam Dubai is part of the world-renowned CanJam shows and is dedicated to showcasing headphones, in-ear monitors and personal audio, attracting enthusiasts, reviewers and industry professionals from around the globe. The Dubai show is taking place from January 24 to 26 at the Conrad Dubai.
