GREE Tackles Indoor Air Pollution

Published

on

As air pollution and smog continue to affect millions across Pakistan, GREE’s air purifiers, represented in Pakistan by the DWP Group, are helping families tackle indoor air pollution, a growing health concern. Many people focus on outdoor smog, but indoor air can be even more hazardous.

According to the EPA, indoor air can be two to five times more polluted than outdoor air, as dust, smog particles, and allergens remain trapped and circulate inside homes. Over time, this exposure quietly affects health, making air purification a critical need for every household. Recognizing this growing concern, GREE, through the “Breathe Better, Live Better” campaign, provides advanced air purifiers designed to help families create cleaner, safer indoor environments, particularly during the most hazardous smog seasons, reflecting GREE’s commitment to protecting health and well-being in urban households.

The GREE GA-350W1 is designed for large family spaces such as living rooms and lounges. Priced at Rs. 59,900, it delivers 360-degree purification using a 4-layer filtration system that removes up to 99.99% of pollutants. With coverage of 35 square meters (375 sq. ft.), a CADR of 350 for particles and 200 for formaldehyde, it ensures fast and efficient purification powered by its Turbo Inverter Motor, offering high airflow with lower energy consumption.

For compact spaces, the GA-170W1 provides an effective solution at Rs. 39,900. Ideal for bedrooms and study areas, it purifies up to 20 square meters (215 sq. ft.) with a CADR of 100 CFM. Equipped with True HEPA and Activated Carbon Filters, it captures fine dust, PM2.5 particles, smoke, and odors. The unit operates quietly at 32 decibels and includes sleep mode, an 8-hour timer, and a real-time PM2.5 digital display, all wrapped in a minimal white-and-silver design.

Rizwan Butt, COO – CE Division, DWP Group, said, “Indoor air pollution is a growing concern, especially during smog season when families spend more time indoors. With GREE’s latest air purifiers, we aim to empower consumers with technology that ensures clean, healthy air inside their homes. These products reflect our dedication to offering reliable, accessible, and effective solutions for improving everyday living.”

DWP Group supports the range through its nationwide DWP Care network, offering easy access to replacement filters lasting six to twelve months, ensuring consistent performance and hassle-free maintenance.

As indoor air quality continues to decline, GREE emphasizes that clean air is no longer a luxury but a necessity. With the “Breathe Better, Live Better” campaign, GREE and DWP Group highlight the critical role of air purifiers in safeguarding health, reducing exposure to harmful particles, and creating safe, breathable environments inside every home.

Xiaomi is Set to Launch a Record Breaking Battery Phone Soon

Published

on

Xiaomi is expected to launch several new devices by the end of this month, including the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, which is rumored to feature a 9,000 mAh battery. However, reports suggest the company is planning to push battery capacity even further next year.

According to a new rumor, Xiaomi is working on a smartphone equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery, which would make it the highest battery capacity phone so far, at least in the mainstream handset market. The device is said to support 100W wired charging, along with fast wireless charging. Despite the large battery, the phone is reportedly designed to remain relatively slim, measuring less than 8.5mm in thickness.

Honor is also expected to introduce a smartphone with a 10,000 mAh battery and 100W wired charging under its Win series. These developments suggest that multi-day battery life could soon become more common across different use cases.

At this stage, it remains unclear whether Xiaomi will launch the device under its main brand or through its Redmi or Poco subbrands. Further details have not yet been confirmed.

OnePlus has officially confirmed plans to launch a new smartphone lineup called Turbo, following weeks of speculation that began in October. Rumors about the series first surfaced earlier in the month, with full specifications of the initial model leaking soon after.

Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, announced the Turbo series on Weibo as part of the company’s 12th anniversary. He said the new lineup will carry over the performance focus seen in OnePlus’ flagship devices, while placing a strong emphasis on battery life and gaming performance.

Li added that OnePlus expects to close 2025 with the highest year-over-year sales growth among smartphone brands in China, reporting a 40% increase compared with 2024. Looking ahead, he said the Turbo lineup is intended to further enhance gaming performance and make that experience accessible to a wider audience.

House Of Marley Unveils Its New Sustainable Speaker Range Including The Get Together 3

Published

on

I feel sorry for younger people today. A large part of their education stresses environmentalism and the downsides of consumerism, bwhile they are bombarded with marketing and advertising imploring them to buy the latest smartphones, speakers and headphones. The House of Marley’s Get Together 3 speaker is designed to change that.

The House of Marley thinks this is a middle way where we also stress the importance of sustainability and the circular economy? The brand, which is backed by the family of reggae legend Bob Marley and whose name is used to promote a range of sustainable audio products, believes he would have approved of the approach.

Plenty of companies pay token lip service to sustainability, but House of Marley says it pays close attention to every detail, from the use of natural materials to the precision-tuned drivers delivering rich, balanced sound. The result, it claims, is a harmonious fusion of audio performance, timeless style and Earth-friendly craftsmanship, such as the new Get Together 3 Bluetooth speaker.

Care For The Planet

Would Marley have approved? Most probably. His family says he cared very much for the planet and the oceans. Some of the proceeds from the sale of the brand’s products are used to sustain Bob Marley’s legacy of love for music and the planet. The company’s philosophy is underpinned by sustainability and a commitment to charitable causes, particularly those related to the environment.

I managed to get my hands on the House of Marley’s new Get Together 3 Bluetooth speaker for a demonstration. The speaker is a crafted statement piece with a rich and customizable stereo sound that can be used for an outdoor party or a winter night in by the fire, streaming favorite tunes.

The Get Together 3 includes switchable EQ settings as well as warm ambient LED lighting. The speaker has a low-profile silhouette made from sustainable materials like bamboo and REWIND fabric, a recycled material. The speaker has the Marley signature sound and can play for up to 10 hours on a single charge of its onboard battery.

Auracast Compatible

Other features include fast USB-C charging and Bluetooth connectivity, offering a range of up to 30 meters. The audio can even be expanded to multiple speakers by using Auracast, a Bluetooth pairing technology that can transform a home into a multi-speaker soundstage.

The new speaker has three tuned EQ settings including the Marley Signature Sound, an Outdoor Mode for clarity in open spaces, plus for a bit more oomph there is the Bass Boost setting, which offers deep and resonant lows.

Auracast is a new technology that is finally being rolled out. It can bring people together through music thanks to its multi-speaker pairing with any other Auracast-compatible device. Multiple devices can be linked together to produce an immersive sound experience, turning a home, garden or party into an impressive soundstage.

Ambient LED Lighting

Users can add a bit more atmosphere thanks to the built-in LED light ring that encircles the Get Together 3’s speaker grille. The warm glow of the ambient light is designed for setting the mood at home, in the garden or wherever the speaker goes. There are controls ranged across the top of the speaker for play/pause, skip or repeat, volume controls and a button for Bluetooth and control of the onboard lighting.

As well as offering Bluetooth connectivity, the Get Together 3 also features an analog aux-in jack at its rear for connecting to any non-digital audio source. That could be an old Walkman cassette player or an FM transistor for catching the latest game.

With every purchase of a House of Marley product, the company says you will be helping to support global reforestation through support for the One Tree Planted charity. Since 2017, House of Marley says it has helped to plant more than 400,000 trees across 15 countries in 27 separate projects.
