Motorola is refreshing its midrange portfolio around the globe with the launch of the Moto G77 and Moto G67. Both phones focus on large displays, strong battery life, and added durability, while differentiating themselves through performance, camera hardware, and pricing.

The G77 and G67 set themselves apart from the G17 series with higher-end specs such as better chipsets and cameras.

Design and Display

Both the Moto G77 and Moto G67 feature a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The panel is designed for media consumption and everyday use, offering smooth visuals and durability.

The Moto G77 steps ahead with a sharper 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, making it better suited for outdoor visibility. The Moto G67 retains the same screen size and refresh rate but does not match the higher resolution and brightness of the G77.

In terms of durability, both phones carry MIL-STD-810H certification. The Moto G77 is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance, while the Moto G67 has a slightly lower IP63 rating. Color options also differ: the Moto G77 is available in Pantone shades called Shaded Spruce and Black Olive, while the Moto G67 comes in Arctic Seal and Nile. There are no official images of the Nile color.

Internals and Software

The main distinction between the two models lies in performance. The Moto G77 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset and is offered with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, along with storage options going up to 512GB.

The Moto G67 uses a less powerful MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and is paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Storage configurations are lower compared to the G77, reflecting its more budget-focused positioning.

Both phones run modern Android software and include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for audio.

Cameras

Camera hardware is another area where the Moto G77 takes the lead. It features a 108-megapixel main camera that supports 3x lossless zoom, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Selfies are handled by a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Moto G67 uses a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 600 main sensor, also paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. While capable, this setup is positioned below the higher-resolution system on the G77.

Battery and Pricing

Battery specifications are identical across both models. The Moto G77 and Moto G67 each pack a 5,200mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging, ensuring long endurance for daily use.

Pricing separates the two devices clearly. The Moto G77 launches in the UK at £250, while the Moto G67 undercuts it at £200, offering a more affordable option for users willing to compromise on performance and camera capabilities.

Prices in other regions for these phones will likely be cheaper.
