Talking about it, Maya Khan said, “The genuine reason behind this is, they get good budgets for sparking sensationalism for views or headlines. I will speak the truth; it is what it is. I am an anchor, and the main reason behind sensationalism is that they get good budgets for this. Secondly, a host is a host and is known for professionalism. If you come as a host, you will be known as a host. Now actors are doing shows, and they are being given budgets to create sensationalism; that’s why such a content is being created. Also, our actors don’t get good payments otherwise; they don’t get royalties on re-runs. I wish they get good opportunities so that they don’t have to do hosting for creating sensationalism.”

Talking about the viral Veena Malik clip, she said, “I am not on Veena Malik’s side, but is Veena Malik only responsible for this? Aren’t producers on IFB instructing her from the background to make a seductive voice and actions responsible? Okay, let’s admit she was popular and had a say, but still it should have not been done and she might know it’s a mistake. We all have made mistakes that we are embarrassed about, and I am sure she used to laugh as well. It should not have been done, by whosoever was behind this.”

She further revealed that she produced Anwar Maqsood and Moeen Akhtar’s famous show Loose Talk. She said Anwar Maqsood didn’t use to work after 6, and Moeen Akhtar used to wake up at 2:00, so recording the episode within that timeline itself was a task for her but she enjoyed the process with legendary figures like Anwar Maqsood and Moeen Akhtar.
