She was a guest on Shan e Suhoor and shared how her father finally became okay with her career.

Yashma Gill revealed that her father was against her work in showbiz as the industry has a negative image in general public. Her father thus did not speak to her for a whole year after she started acting. The actress revealed that after a year during Ramadan, she once greeted her father and he responded and that is where the ice broke.

Later Yashma Gill wanted to go for Umrah and she needed a Mehram. Thus she asked her dad who went with her for Umrah. When he saw how his daughter received special treatment and respect because of her profession, her father thought that she is probably doing something right and they reconciled.
